The Grand Rapids-based General John A. Logan, Camp No. 1, Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War (SUVCW) invite you to join us in the restoration of the Kent County Civil War Monument and Fountain to its original 1885 glory.

Our goal is to raise $250,000. Your tax-deductible donations will not only help restore the monument, but also give honor to the over 4,200 men from Kent County who fought to preserve the Union during the Civil War 1861-1865.

Restoration efforts for this project began Memorial Day weekend of 2000 and will continue until we reach the goal.

Restoration will commence upon receiving the majority of the funding. After restoration is completed, the monument and fountain will be rededicated at a special ceremony. The celebration will honor our veterans of all wars for what they have done to preserve our freedoms.
